Hi there, I’m Leanne! Your GSAN VP Academic this year :) My main focus is to enhance your academic experience during your time as a graduate student in the IPN through sharing resources and organizing events! Some of our popular initiatives include our career panel seminar series, milestone workshops such as IPN 101 and Candidacy Exam 101, and technical workshops featuring hands-on tools to boost your research such as Intro to Python, DeepLabCut, and Pynapple. There are so many opportunities that we can provide for our fellow students that won’t all be possible without a team - if you’re interested in taking the initiative to run some of these events or have your own suggestions, come join me on the Academic Team and we can bring all these awesome initiatives to life!
